I mean idk how exactly Diavolo wouldn't be immediately affected by shrink. In fact I don't even know if Diavolo wouldn't be affected in the Time Erase itself. Even if Diavolo isn't affected, when he attacks GGGGoH, King Crimson's hands will shrink. There's realistically 2 options here:

GGGGoH's shrink is constant for everything, meaning that when Time Erase ends, Diavolo just immediately hyper-shrinks

Or

GGGGoH doesn't work like that, and if something somehow got closer without getting shrunk, it'll stay like that. However, GGGGoH's ability still applies, and when King Crimson goes to attack it's hand will immediately shrink.

Either way, it's a win or a stalemate for GGGGoH

It'll be a genocide to attack GGGoH even with TE, you'll get shrinked after it ends.

I've been thinking about it. I've not ready Stone Ocean cuz I don't want to be spoiled, and want to be surprised-ish when I watch the anime with my little sister. But from what I know, Green, Green Grass of Home's ability is to shrink anything that gets close to it until it ceases to exist (Perhaps the reference for the phrase "Singularity Point" in DIO's Journal). However, this may not effect King Crimson, because he erases time. For 10 seconds, time does not exist for King Crimson, and since time and space are relative, space ceases to exist. This also would be GGGoH would not exist, and thus, the image of it would be approachable I believe. And since KC seems to have the ability to effect people in his Time Void, it seems possible that he could kill it, since KC's Attack Power is an A, putting it on The World and Star Platinum Doughnut levels of strength. I could be wrong tho.

GGGoH’s ability is to make someone shrink proportionate to the distance you are away from the baby. The manga represents the ability in this way: when you get 2x closer to GGGoH’s user, you shrink and become 2x smaller.

In a hypothetical 1v1 scenario, it’ll likely go in one of two ways.

The first and arguably more likely way, is that Diavolo uses TE, gets close to GGGoH’s user with no effects, but the moment TE ends, Diavolo Shrinks immensely and The user just crushes Diavolo effortlessly.

If TE completely deletes the affect of GGGoH during TE, then it would go something like this:

Diavolo uses TE to get close to GGGoH’s user, and when TE ends Diavolo is unaffected still by GGGoH’s ability. However, when Diavolo tries to attack, his hand shrinks immensely. From here there are 2 options, Diavolo backs away and never even tries to attack him, which makes the battle end in stalemate. Or, Diavolo tries to attack the user of GGGoH, and immediately shrinks to a fraction of his original size, and then gets crushed by GGGoH or he continues to try to get closer and eventually condensed into a black hole and disintegrates from Hawking radiation.

So basically, GGGoH either stalemates or completely bodies KC. Your argument is rather interesting, in that you believe that there’s a set amount of shrinkage for a certain amount of distance, but the manga’s method of showing the ability as well as the explanation for the ability implies that the shrinkage is proportionate to the distance that the enemy is away from the stand, rather than just the enemy shrinking based on distance covered closing in on the stand.

Honestly not a bad argument, especially for someone who hasn’t read the manga.

There are lot of other sites where you can read the manga other than mangad^x. While I recommend reading the manga, it's your choice to wait for the anime if you want.
