Time skip... I'm guessing isn't effective to SP with ts. He could stop time and if Diavolo behind him about to strike, he is dead as hec. There is no possible way I could think of Diavolo defeating Jotaro. I mean he can predict the ts, but he would have no way of deflecting the ts attack when he can't move

He'll definitely know that something was wrong, because he moved position, Diavolo disappeared etc

What can Diavolo do during stopped time (which is apparently impossible because Diavolo would be spamming Epitaph every second, which is never shown)?

If they know each other's abilities then Jotaro blitzes. He will get 100% determination after knowing his abilities and his reaction won't get negated so that's when self awareness comes into play.
