Well, I mean, it's not like God doesn't forgive people of their sins. It's why he took human form and died on the cross in the first place. He knows we can't help that we're sinners anymore than we can stop the sun from rising of our own will power. So he needed another way for us to be with him. All he needs from us is to merely admit it with sincerity that we're wrong, and Jesus is God's son, the Bible is true, and ask him to save and forgive us. That is literally all that is needed to be done to be assured of salvation and entrance into Heaven. It's actually really simple. It's kinda like if you plead guilty, you get a lesser sentence, except that lesser sentence is a full pardon. God loves us that much. And the best part, it's all free and doesn't require anything more than truly meaning it when you say it.
