But in defense of the theory, yes, Pucci is Christian, but it's fairly obvious that he's a very very shitty Christian, and an even shittier Catholic. From my experience, a Christian would much sooner be gay than worship false idols.

That, and the fact that he was not in part 3. the reason for him not in part 3 was that, Dio KNEW he would possibly DIE in his fight aginst Jotaro. So, he told Pucci to stay behind so Pucci would not die. Sine, let pucci be in part 3 and fight the Joestars and loose, nobody could carry on the goal of "heaven". people take that as "Dio was in love with pucci" and thats why he was not there. since, if they were in love, then why would Dio want his lover to die.
