Giorno's plot armor was utter bullsh*t for the entire part, the fact that he was also basically jetpack fuel for Mista's plot armor also pisses me off, he managed to somehow get back and save Mista's ass his 5th time without any explanation to how he managed to swim all the way back and get there at the last second smh, the Cioccolata was also pretty much deus x machina comeback shenanigans tbh, the issue to me isn't how Mista was able to have his dead stands come back from the dead after he lost all 5 of them but it's how inconsistent Green Day's ability works...(he completely breaks up people into mold by just being above them, if I'm not mistaken), and Giorno managed to prevent the mold from entirely destroying his body while pulling out some random ass beetle that came from the bullet that managed to somehow stop the mold growing stand ability due to his injury (Cioccolata managed to get the Wammu and Steely Dan treatment at the same time lmao) but that's just...weird af. And Giorno pulling out the wood eating bugs on Diavolo last minute and managing to survive getting his arms torn off and etc is pretty cliche tbh. (Joseph had alot of plot armor, but he got his karma for it, Jotaro and Giorno kinda got off easy for some time...not as much as Giorno tbh)
"Diavolo was never stabbed by the arrow
Nothing indicates he wasn't worthy" He wasn't pierced by the arrow because he wasn't fated to be pierced in the first place.
It literally went through him
"He wasn't pierced by the arrow because he wasn't fated to be pierced in the first place"
Tbh, this just means he wasn't worthy of fate, not the arrow...
If Diavolo was under the right circumstances, he probably could have changed fate and gotten KCR but oh well...
"Tbh, this just means he wasn't worthy of fate, not the arrow..." But what does the arrow find "worthiness" from, the entire narrative exclaims that "those who are blessed shall be worthy of the arrow" or "those who destined are worthy of the arrow", so isn't the arrows entire thing tied to "fate" and reason?
"If Diavolo was under the right circumstances, he probably could have changed fate and gotten KCR but oh well..." If I'm not mistaken the entire point of Epitaph and and the TE is to skip to where the fated outcome occurs, pretty much all of Epitaph's predictions were already going to happen before Diavolo tries to "change" it after the 10 seconds, the only time this closes scenario when this isn't the case is during the GER logic that happens due to it already being destined differently before he even "predicts" it.
^^ok but that's different
Notice how Arakibmade it so instead of Diavolp just not being worthy, he just wasn't stabbed at all
Implying that if Diavolo was stabbed, he would have evolved. Hence why Araki had to make it so Diavolo wasn't stabbed at all.
The arrow can deem you worthy but fate can make it so you don't get the arrow at all to prevent the evolution.
Like if Diavolo wasn't evil, he could have gotten KCR.
"If I'm not mistaken the entire point of Epitaph and and the TE is to skip to where the fated outcome occurs"
No, he skips past them without Diavolo being part of it. So if Diavolo had the arrow, then "whoops, time erase" and uses the arrow inside of erased time, nothing stops him...
What do you think?
