There are moments within the series that don't add up with different segments of the story. This has been somewhat consistent that people went ahead and made a meme about it called "Araki forgot".

I think this all originated the moment he started calling Star Platinum the ultimate stand.

Although if you ask me, I think it's just stupid. There are very rare moments where I'll agree that there are times where he probably forgot something(very rarely, every author has committed this mistake once or twice) but for the most part, people just either choose not to understand events or statements being shown within the story or Araki takes a different approach and just retcons any idea that was influenced beforehand.

I would debate you on that, but most of my points would probably spoil the series for this poor user, so I'll practice control.
