On initial viewings it seems like he was broken with how his childhood went about. However by Speedwagon’s words it is clear that Dio was pure evil right out of the mother’s room.

I dont think pure evil, speedwagon might have misjudged. I think he is evil because of his bad childhood (many villains are villain because they had a shitty childhood), so broken.

Yea the main problem is that no one raised him right.

His mother died from overworking, and his dad was abusive and an alcohol addict

if not then...idk, I feel like having an abusive father and being raised in a shitty environment shoudnt really lead into you wanting to become a multiversal threat. Kinda just feels like DIO is the way he is because he kinda just is. His father's blood flows within him, he acts like him, he was born to be like him.

Ig it's possible to assume he was influenced to act like this but eh...he was raised in the Joestar household for much much much longer and still hasnt changed whatsoever(he's still a child so it woudnt have to have been all that much of an issue to influence him in the right direction)

Yeah there are many bad or abusive childhoods in the world, and yet few people with Dio's personality (or at least I hope so... idk I lost faith in humanity long ago)
