Jojo’s bizarre adventure part 1 and 2 in a nutshell
Part 1:
Main theme song: Sono ni chan
Main character: Jonathan Joestar
Setting; England
George Joestar was a neglectful father towards his biological son Jonathan and favored his adopted son; Dio over him. He claims that he had some love for Jonathan but he put most of his affection on Dio. Meanwhile; Dio, the main villain, (and pure evil) his entire goal was to find a way to achieve immortality and end the entire Joestar family, heritage and bloodline. (just delete the concept of Joestar family from existence) Dio ruined Jonathan’s life completely. He would always bully him and beat him up whenever George wasn’t around. And George would always blame Jonathan instead of Dio; considering that Dio was superior.
Jonathan had a miserable life. But despite all of this; he still strives to be gentlemen, as he was raised originally to be, and a pure good character.
Jonathan was in love with Erina Pendelton and wanted to kiss her but Dio stole the first kiss; and became the first one to kiss her instead.
Then Jonathan discovered the power of hamon from someone. (Don’t know who) And this Hamon is a physic ability that made Jonathan buff but in general about hamon
Hamon is a physic power, used only by the Joestar bloodline, that enables the user to do several things like sticking to flat walls and climbing them.
Then Dio killed George; Jonathan failed to defeat Dio but he did manage to save his crush, Erina. In the end; Erina was sent out to the middle of the ocean on a raft and she was also carrying a baby. She was riding on the raft with the baby and that baby was; Lisa Lisa. And Jonathan ended up getting body stolen by Dio. Dio stole his body and used it.
Part 2: Battle Tendency (I keep on confusing this with Stardust crusaders)
Theme song: Bloody stream (My favorite theme song in the Jojo series)
Main character: Joseph Joestar
Setting: North America
I don’t remember the beginning very well but I have always loved what Joseph did. I remember very well his catchphrase; “your next line is……”, he predicts what the enemy would say, the enemy says it and he get shocked at how accurate Joseph’s prediction is!!
I really miss it when Joseph used to say “Your next line is…..”
This was also where we met other characters; Caesar and Lisa Lisa. (Aka my favorite female character for now before I start Stone Ocean which I haven’t yet) And Lisa Lisa, aka the master of hamon, was the one who taught Caesar and Joseph how to use hamon. Caesar managed to get the hang of it really quick. He could produce bubbles. But Joseph was still struggling. I still remember the very scene in part 2; where Lisa Lisa was introduced as a cold-hearted woman and she was very cool. She had a great introduction scene.
I know everything about hamon!! To properly control hamon; you need to learn how to control breathing. When you are calm and can control your breath properly; you can use hamon properly. But if you don’t have oxygen; hamon cannot work well. For example; when you’re drowning or when you’re tired. Hamon relies of oxygen intake.
And after the training; when Joseph managed to climb to the top of the wall using hamon alone, when he succeeded. Caesar also struggled but he made it to the top first but he did try to help Joseph.
We also get a naked scene of Lisa Lisa while she is taking a bath and Joseph decided to take a peep of her without telling her. (very naught there)
And the main villain was Kars; aka the immortal god.
We got a backstory of Caesar (I don’t remember) and his death was the saddest. I was honestly really sad at Caesar’s death. He was also great and he will always be remembered for as long as I live. Then we got Lisa Lisa and Joseph against the gods. I remember the battle between Kars and Joseph; when Kars injured his own eyes to make himself blind for some advantage. And there was a horse race. And the battle ends with; Kars getting his head ripped off and sent out to space.
I didn’t get the details much because part 2 tried so hard to make Joseph as cool as possible; and it worked! I got so distracted by how awesome Joseph was. (and I love his lines) I know that Joseph is arrogant and a jerk but still. Battle Tendency was so much fun!
Does that answer your question? As you can see, I watched both parts. I can summarize part 3 if you want. If I missed anything; feel free to point it out. I am not expert.
No, I am not a troll. The thing is; I don’t speak Japanese so I watch the English dub of Jojo on Netflix. The only problem is; their English grammar is absolutely terrible. It’s not that I understand what they are saying; their grammar is really bad. Sometimes; I had to pause and replay certain scenes just to grasp on a conversation between Jojo characters. In part 1, 2 & 3; I had to rely on English subtitles despite their bad grammar. But Part 4 was where the subtitles were no longer effective so I just listened to their good voice acting but bad English-speaking skills.
Also; when the episodes switch from one generation to another, for example the first generation of Joestar family was Jonathan joestar and the second was Joseph Joestar, the third was Jotaro Kujo and the fourth was Josuke. This gives me an endless amount of confusion. The stories of these generations take place in different timelines around the world so I get mixed up and lost. So sometimes; I had to pause the series and make research online about the series because I think its just their speaking that makes me confused. I think that it’s just their speaking that causes this misunderstanding. That’s my only problem.
And as far as I can remember; George Joestar is father of Jonathan Joestar. Lisa Lisa is mother of Joseph. Jotaro is Joseph’s grandson and son of Holy Kujo.
Does this answer your questions? Now that's what I call spoilers!! :)
