I was rewatching part 3 and was watching the devil vs polnareff and i was thinking to myself this is a lot like chucky, the killer doll from the Child’s Play series. So it got me thinking what if other stands and stand users are movie references? I did some research and here’s what I found.
Avdol
Avdol is a fortune teller. Fortunate tellers are not a huge staple of the horror film genre but do appear.The best examples i can give are the wolf man ( 1941 ) and Poltergeist (1982)
Tower of Gray
Flys are gross and especially big ones. TOG’s mouth is an obvious reference to Alien.

References
DBM definitely as a slight resemblance to The Monster from CFTBL. The JAWS reference is the StarDust Crusaders are on a boat and SP ORA ORA a shark, U could argue It’s not a reference and was just a coincidence.
Forever and Strength
The stand strength is an obvious reference to the ghost ship trope. Forever himself is probably a reference to King Kong himself because i don’t know any other bad ape movies. The Shower scene between Anne, Forever And Jotaro is a reference to the famous Shower scene from Psycho (1960) Only difference is the latter’s victim didn’t have Jotaro to save her. These are just speculation hopefully u guys found this a little interesting, I’ll do part 2 tomorrow.

<p>ok so, this has been on my mind since some time, and i thought it would be a good chance to say it here and now.</p><p>
</p><p>hear me out, Dark Blue Moon is underrated.</p><p>I know it sounds like a huge statement to simply say is true, but i'm going to list some of the reasons why it is underrated.</p><p>First off, understand why it lost:</p><p>basically asspull from Star Platinum, being Star Finger.</p><p>
</p><p>Now, to the good parts this stand has:</p><p>1. This is an aquatic, meaning it's most effective under water.</p><p>This implies other stands are less effective under water, now, assuming this, if the situation is right, Dark Blue Moon has a higher chance of winning.</p><p>
</p><p>2. Once underwater, it could match Star Platinum and even beat it (excluding Star Finger), so off this we can see this is quite a strong stand. Another thing it did with its high strength was create a whirlpool on the water, quite a big one, to which he added his scales, which were slightly damaging.</p><p>
