Oh OK. So no longer than Digimon Fusion then.
I meant in terms of having time to see it.
I guess we'll see. Even if it does get dubbed I might not get to see it anyway. I've used up all my Twilight deals but as much as I would like to see this, Eternal and Dominion meant more to me.
Uh-oh, how long is this going to be? If it's over a hundred episodes, I won't have time for that.
Again, I am a purist to the dubs of all animes. And they might just refuse to dub it altogether.
I think other stuff was fine, it's just dying onscreen that was taboo then.
For reference: A fictional US president, John Keeler, is severely injured when Air Force One is shot down by a terrorist. He is still alive when last we see him, but it is never confirmed whether he lives or dies, and vice president Charles Logan, who became acting president in his absence, is still president in Season 5. Apparently it's fine if they die offscreen, because Wayne Palmer in Season 6 is last seen in critical condition following two conspirators' attacking him for not being racist to Muslims, and it's confirmed that he did die of his injuries, just offscreen, and not mentioned in the course of Season 6. When David Palmer was assassinated, he was no longer president, as he withdrew from the next election to Keeler.
What about the 24 thing? Does that still apply today, or if the fictional president is corrupt, or if the show originated from Japan rather than America?
I guess in the end it all comes down to whether they have too much trouble animating the horses.
But then, Wings of Fire was dragon-themed, and the universe is adamant that there not be any visual media super fun for me that is so heavily dragon themed, except The Flight of Dragons and Blazing Dragons, the latter of which is so obscure and few even know it. Plus those were made either before I existed or before I got my love for dragons.
There is the Spyro games, particularly Legend of Spyro trilogy, but while the story can be fun to watch and all its dragons, especially Cynder and Ignitus, and Malefor as the main villain, the gameplay isn't super fun.
Steel Ball Run, it and its villain just sound intriguing to me. It's not dragon-themed so it has a chance. Sailor Moon Eternal and Jurassic World Dominion meant more to me than Steel Ball Run tbh, they were made (in Eternal's case, dubbed), and satisfied. Though, I did kinda have to watch the Twilight movies as a deal to make that happen (did not enjoy those one bit but it was worth it to get the glorious fates for Nehelenia and Dodgson, and for Sailor Venus to shine for the first time in Crystal), and as such I can't use those for another deal. But, maybe Wings of Fire only got cancelled for being dragon-themed.
Well, anything I said about the dub aside, is it confirmed that this won't get cancelled? I called it from a mile away that the Wings of Fire TV series would, and it did. Are they sure they'll be able to animate all those horses running?
Just because the main villain dying happens to be an American president, though a very corrupt and fictional one, and I kinda want this anime to be made and dubbed and am paranoid that it won't be, plus the whole 24 situation.
24 isn't an anime, it's a live-action TV series made in America. I don't know if dubs of animes originating from Japan are bound by that or not.
Oh, he's just joking around? Maybe he's not quite as bad as I thought. (Not good of course, because tariffs, but not as bad as Hitler or Osama) And I more meant if there's bombings of cities or something like that. With the way the world is I can get pretty paranoid.
So, if we're all certain that Steel Ball Run won't face the same issues that 24 did, then if it does get dubbed, intact from the manga, my anime list might expand to 36. Or 37, if I'd seen and loved Demon Slayer by then. (Though part of JoJo it is a reboot so I'll consider it its own thing like each Digimon series, and even Dragon Ball despite being in continuity with Z/Kai)
Well, Trump is a corrupt American president just like Valentine and might think Valentine was meant to represent him, just like Red Hulk. (Even though, again, the manga was when Obama was President)
And, George W. Bush was president in 2005 when 24 was forbidden from killing a sitting US President onscreen, I don't know how much things have changed now or whether anime originating from Japan is bound by that even when it comes to dubs. I mean, dubs that don't lower the rating to make them kid-friendly leave in some scenes that would be very inappropriate if they weren't animated, if you get my drift, so a corrupt president being main villain and dying - and this was featured in Death Race 2000, as well - shouldn't cross the line, and wasn't meant to reflect our world.
Either way, if he taxes Canada dry or eventually declares war on us, I may not live to see it.
That could be. I'd say it might even be cathartic for Americans, except, the fact that Trump won meant that over 50% voted for him.
I hear Sonic 3 is coming to Canada just fine
Because a sitting American president (albeit a very corrupt one and main villain) dies in it. America doesn't like that, it was forbidden in 24, and controversial as a non-canon dark mission in Shadow the Hedgehog (but then you're playing as Shadow assassinating a non-corrupt president, although America doesn't even exist in the Sonic game universe but this is its equivalent).
Yes, I know many prefer the Japanese version feeling the dub ruined it and all that, but I am a purist to dubs of anime, and everyone, myself included, is really touchy about anime in some way including their preferences. So let's not bring that up.
All the other seasons got dubbed so far, but of course there is the issue about Valentine's death. While he is a corrupt president and the main villain of Steel Ball Run, 24 was forbidden to show a sitting American president die onscreen, which is why John Keeler was not confirmed dead in Season 4.
I don't know whether having an equally corrupt president now has changed this or made it stronger (and there's no doubt that Trump will think that Valentine was meant to represent him, even though the manga came before he was president). Maybe he won't care as long as he gets richer. And if he has no say in that, perhaps others won't think that so taboo if the president is corrupt.
Plus, there is still the matter of "modern day anime style" where major characters, especially villains, rarely die, though usually this one has remained loyal to the manga, including with Dio, Kira, and Pucci's fates being unchanged, and Kars and Diavolo's fates were the same as the manga (plus worse than death so hardly underwhelming).
On that note, when will it release? How long will it take to get to its final episode, and if it does get dubbed, how long will that be?

Is this legit or is it a late April Fools joke?
Even if it is legit, I doubt it will get dubbed without sparing Funny Valentine because, you know, sitting American president dying onscreen... though, the current president is just as bad. Of course he might take Valentine to represent him even though the manga was long before he became president.
And if by some miracle it does get dubbed and is the same as the manga... I must be prepared for high levels of suggestive/NSFW content with male characters. It's always when it surprises me that it bugs me most.
Just don't let this one be padded out with filler like Diamond Is Unbreakable was, I still haven't finished that, but I don't have to coz Steel Ball Run is a reboot.
