Simply put, plot holes. Most of the time said plot holes aren't actually mistakes, but fans misunderstanding something and spreading misinformation. There's a YT user called Hamon Beat who debunks most of the 'araki forgot' moments, part by part.
[Part 7 spoilers] I'd love for Hot Pants to get some more screentime. Even her death was kinda omitted. She deserved better :(
Did a tierlist for parts 3-5. I actually like all of those stands, but I put them in categories based on their design and how interesting they were. I usually prefer mechanics that either have some weird restrictions or with non-combat powers and yet they can still be very well utilized in a fight. Silver Chariot is an isntant S tier for me tho, because it's just so beautifully simple. Or simply beautiful. Beautiful in its simpleness? now that I think of it I'd also put Hierophant in the S section, but I dont wanna to have to redo the whole tier list.
All are excellent, my favs are Josuke and Jolyne's themes. Chose SO because it sounds more majestic/serious in a way, but imo they are equally amazing. Then there'd be Giorno's theme, Jotaro's, Jonathan's and lastly Joseph's.
Silver Chariot in top tier, instant W opinion
"Would" "Smash" my brothers and sisters in G she's a nun
As the strongest stand user Diegoat fought the fraud, the president of USA, he unleashed his attack. As Valentine shrunk back in fear Diegoat said to him “Stand proud Valentine, you are funny”
George's moustache is beautiful
@Zozo916 I'd disagree all Jojos after Joseph are lawful good, Giorno straight up joins the mafia lmao
Acknowledging a character is good but still disliking them, a valid opinion
I'm not a person who tends to dislike characters tbh, if I ever do it's because they're poorly written or straight up boring while being overly focused on. And even if I don't agree with the way a character acts, I can still find them interesting and enjoy the story. The way gang in part 5 mercilessly kills every enemy they encounter doesn't sit quite right with me, but they literally belong to a mafia, that's how it is. I still love Narancia, Bruno, Mista and Giorno (cant say much about the remaining two, as they don't get much development). Funny Valentine is a terrible, TERRIBLE man but a good character nonetheless. If I had to say whom do I hate the most, I'd probably say Valentine's wife or the attaboy dude.
The closest I was to straight up disliking characters was in part 4, but it was solely cuz I was disappointed others got more screentime than Okuyasu, who's the literal JoBro of the part. Even that feet harem dude got to shine in one ep but Okuyasu gets sidelined for most of the 2nd half of the anime and doesn't really have an arc of his own aside from the introduction one.
The 1st one seems the least dangerous tbh
He's a Brazilian teacher with an ability to make people dumber? Sounds like an antagonist fit for part 4
@ThyBrokenArm part 8 is truly bizarre with those scenes. Only 24 chapters in and so many weird things happened already I'm wondering if Araki was told to put in the fanservice, really didn't think it'd be weird or is a pervert.
My ranking:
1 - Steel Ball Run; it's just amazing, what makes it so good for me is Gyro and Johnny's dynamic. I also love the art. I'd say it's semi-realistic, but not too much and leaves the author with freedom to draw truly bizarre things and designs that don't look out of the place (like whatever the hell is going on with Gyro's beard). Spin is amazing, too. It's a very character-focused part. Truly a peak experience.
2 - Stardust Crusaders; while I love SBR for how it develops its characters and Gyro and Johnny's friendship/brotherhood, one of the main reasons I rank this part so much is the pure hype. Manly men doing manly things on their manly adventure to save (not so manly) a (strange to most of them) woman from dying to what essentially could be considered a curse (a very manly reason indeed). The writing may not be very serious, teenagers absolutely DON'T act their age and have unrealistically high battle intelligence but it's so much fun and has many peak moments (e.g D'arby the gambler battle, Polnareff meeting his "sister"). Sometimes in life you gotta proceed your childhood trauma and look for metaphysical answers (SBR) but sometimes you just have to beat up some people without much thought.
3 - DiU; it's a very fun slice of life, one I really appreciate after all the emotions and craziness from other parts (having just read SBR, I'd very much love to read a light-hearted SoL). Also character/dynamics focused. I really like the 1st half of it, after Kira introduction it kinda falls into the 'fighting the villain of the week' routine that isn't my cup of tea. Josuke used to be my fav Jojo for a very long time (now topped by Jotaro and Johnny; I still love him tho!). And I'll forever be salty about the way Okuyasu got somewhat sidelined after RHCP arc.
I can't really rate the rest of the parts. Watched S1 of the anime about 4 years ago so I don't remember much. I'm half into SO (I ain't skipping parts, but since SBR has no connections to the og. universe aside from the names I figured I may as well read it while watching p6 so I can understand all those memes. Don't regret going into it before finishing the og. timeline, it was a damn ride). I'm not placing p5, cuz I think it'd be somewhere between SO and BT but again I'm in no position to rate those 2 yet. Vento Aureo wasn't bad, it was def. interesting and had many hype moments but imo some of the gang members and their bonds with other characters were undeveloped (a thing that, imo, could've been easily fixed if instead of solo fights there were more team battles), it had a 'the bad guy of the week' structure I didn't really enjoy, the villain could've been a little bit more explored. But, again, it was still hype and I enjoyed every second of it. I loved Trish's fight against the Notorious B.I.G and the Cioccolata and Secco duo. Nonetheless, I think it's one of the weaker parts, writing-wise.
He's telling her a jojo reference (she doesnt even watch anime)
I've got a few actually. Spoilers ahead.
Tbh I think Caesar, Avdol, Kakyoin and like half of Bucciarati's gang's designs get seriously bad over time. By now, their bodies'll have probably rotted away. I wouldn't call this good design. Kinda icky tbh.
Erm...well....how do I say this....he has, you know....two of them...I mean....you know...it's serious, no one would laugh about that....well, it's like...he's got one rod....but 4 of 'them'....you know....he has 4 testicles! There's no mistake about it! I saw it with my own eyes!
NOOO GREGORY
Looks like a cool stand, can you give a few examples of how the ability could be used in combat?
