None of you probably remember me but, I've seen an interesting video about GER and its powerscaling. Jobber(the jojo youtuber who talks about how GER isn't as strong as you think) classifies Return To Zero, GER's ability to nullify and revert any attack and will directed towards his user as a reaction based ability. Therefore, GER needs to perceive and be able to react to the incoming attack to activate and score RTZ successfully.
If this is true, Jobber's right. GER wouldn't be the top dog we thought it was(apart from WoU). Jobber also states how due to lack of feats of GER's physical prowess apart from beating KC who's speed is relative to armored SC and SP being much faster than armored KC, proven from SC with one of his armor broken and receiving four amps from Anubis yet SP still keeping up. SP would blitz GER(at close range) and beat him before he has the chance to activate RTZ.
However, the reason why we all perceived GER as the ultimate stand is because his ability is supposedly passive. The entire point of RTZ and why we praised it to be the ultimate ability is because the no matter the shape/form/strength/speed the attack takes or even the intervention of the flow of time(like Time Stop), RTZ is absolute and will activate no matter what, even if an attack is done during stopped time(which was why GER was rated higher than SP) or incredible speed(like MIH) or infinite power(like TA4).
In my personal opinion, I think GER's placement depends on how you accept GER's Return To Zero. If you believe it to be a reaction based ability like the first I mentioned, it would knock GER a few places down(still top tier, just not top dog). If not, he's still top 3(WoU probably being 1st and GER 2nd).
I want to know your opinions and thoughts on this. And please tell me if you have concrete proof that RTZ is a reaction based ability/passive ability because I haven't seen it yet and I would like to know.
Thanks yall.
