I'd say some versions of Darkseid would fail, but most of them do solo even if we include EoH characters.
I know it's way too soon to be predicting, and I hope I'm wrong, but I'm fairly certain Jodio is going to be VERY lack luster. Thus far, it seems the cast outshines him in character. I can genuinely say that so far I am interested in basically everyone else in the part other than him.
I've never felt that for any other Jojo introduction. From Jonthan to Gappy, every introduction has at the very least intrigued me.
He gets points for not having the typical punch ghost stand but that's about it so far.
Yes, post and pre coma. And even if Ghiaccio could just instantly repair it (I highly doubt that. He'd probably need a bit to catch his stamina) that doesn't discount the fact that Star Platinum still broke through it.
I'd say they're pretty even.
We don't even know what November Rain is fully capable of.
Mid to late 2021 probably.
C-Moon and it's not even close.
Also, I'm pretty sure there is a theory where MiH retained it's previous abilities from White Snake and C-Moon, so if that's the case, C-Moon would literally just be better White Snake.
But even if that wasn't the case, C-Moon still wins.
I know some people may bring up 20 meter for Kakyoin, but I think Giorno actually does have the advantage to being able to counter it. Just make a small animal and throw it at one of the lines and Kakyoin would literally just be shooting himself with a shotgun.
Bucciarati we've already seen.
Polnareff I think does have a chance, but I think the Giorno hate bias is really strong and people really do want to just see him lose. (Spoiler, no way is he clearing this gauntlet btw) but I do think he could beat Polnareff. SC may beat him in speed, but Giorno is one of the best strategist in the entire series. While I think Polnareff COULD win in some situations, I think Giorno would win in most situations.
Giorno I believes gets walled at Josuke.Crazy Diamond's physical strength is literally comparable to Star Platinum, and well, GE is kind of just a stick compared to that. I'm sure Giorno could get lucky and have a raged induced Josuke accidentally just punch himself by hitting an animal he made, but really I had this weird feeling that Josuke would just be so angry that he wouldn't even notice the fact that he just broke like 5 of his ribs lol. I think Giorno COULD win this with like a lucky shot, but I think Josuke gots him 99.9% of the time.
ULF Kars wins. Unless Giorno is at like a specific setting like a volcano or launching him into space or some other method, there is just nothing he can do with just GE. He would eventually just die.
It would have to be a very very VERY niche scenario. DIO doesn't really care about anyone except probably his mother and Jonathan since he grew to respect him near the end of Part 1. Other than maybe that, The Lock just isn't going to do anything to him. DIO wouldn't care if he accidentally killed a kitten, he'd just rip off Kobayashi's head before he even got to explain anything.
Yeah you're right, Araki should reveal who the main antagonist is going to be in an author's note in the next chapter before they gets revealed in 7 years.
I'm going to say it: Modern Jojo is uncanny. I never thought I'd hear the word "uber" in Jojo ever.
It's not my favorite. It sounds like a weird deviantart OC combo of DIO and Jotaro. It also sounds a bit too on the nose for my taste.
Dio Brando: Yes
ULF Kars: It depends on the setting since I don't think ger alone is enough to kill Kars, but Kars wouldn't be able to kill Giorno. But in the right setting, Giorno could find a way to vaporize him completely.
Then again, if we're allowing literally ANYTHING goes, then you got to remember that Kars even before becoming the ULF is one of the most intelligent creatures in the entire JJBA verse. He basically mastered hamon the second he became the ULF despite being literally weak to it his entire life. It's entirely possible that Kars would realize he's getting beat up by some invisible object and in turn he could probably develop his OWN stand mid match. And at that point it's just speculation since it could really do anything.
IMO, I think Kars at best stalemates and at worst dies.
DIO: Still yes. Time stop wouldn't work. His defenses are still an issue but definitely easier to bypass than Kars.
Kira: I doubt BTD would work either. And without that Kira is definitely getting bodied since Killer Queen has shown to just not be the best in a head on fight.
Pucci with WS: Yes
Pucci with C-Moon: Yes
Pucci with MiH: If they were forced to fight to the death and Pucci couldn't reset the universe then Giorno would win. However, if Pucci was just allowed to run away and reset the universe then I would count that as a win for Pucci even though it's not really "defeating" Giorno or even killing him. MiH resetting the universe isn't really an attack per se and just something that happens naturally just faster. And at that point, Pucci literally has the entire universe in his hands.
Funny Valentine with D4C and Love Train: Okay there is definitely going to be people who say "love train can block GER" And frankly I just don't buy it. GER has been seen to reset KC's abilities so it's definitely capable of just nullifying one's stand ability. Love Train is no exception. Fate in Jojo is essentially time while calamity is space. They are on equal playing fields like two sides of the coin. GER has already shown to be above fate, and since calamity is on the same scale just as an "opposite" in a way, Giorno would most definitely be above calamity as well. And even if he wasn't for some reason, Giorno wouldn't just try and punch Love Train a million times. The second he realizes that it's redirecting misfortune is the second he stops putting everyone in danger. At that point it's either a stalemate since neither could do anything to the other, or Giorno wins because Valentine has to come out eventually and he couldn't just rely on going from clone to clone forever.
Tooru: Again, a lot of people may say he can, but this take is legit just taking "copium" since people always seem to want to find a stand that is "better" than Ger. First of all, calamity occurring to Giorno is still an attack on him. That is literally WoU's ability. People try to make the argument that calamity bypasses that sort of thing since it's more of an "act of god." But the thing is, that "act of god" is only activated BY WoU making it more probable. It's still WoU doing an attack on Giorno meaning that's already a contender for it being returned to zero even if was a "heart attack" that a lot of people try to argue would win. (Even if it did somehow bypass GER, there is quite literally nothing stopping Giorno from making a new heart. I know that seems unrealistic that he could just replace his heart in the middle of battle. But we literally saw Jotaro just stop his with his stand. I wouldn't say it's that far fetched. Same with any internal organ.)
Also, it's unlikely WoU would even do the stuff that people suggest. Just because WoU could technically cause a meteor to just hit the Earth doesn't mean that's the most likely thing to happen. It's calamity is just random and too hard to even predict. But from what we DO know, at best, it's destruction is the equivalent to a nasty car crash. I'm sure it could potentially do a lot more damage, but it's NOT just going to CONTINOUSLY DO SOMETHING LIKE THAT ONE AFTER THE OTHER.
GER wins this match. It doesn't matter if you love or hate the stand. Trying to discredit it's power just because you don't like it is just frankly dumb and is the reason why a lot of people clown on the Jojo fandom to begin with because we get our WWW's so wrong because we have character bias. Just because you dislike a character doesn't make him weaker. And just because you love a character doesn't mean he solos everything.
Yes. It was shown HG could use it's abilities in Death 13's dream world. It would work for any other stand.
Follow your dreams. You don't have to pick the direct route to going to Japan. Graphic novels are more than just something new appearing in Shonen. There are plenty of other ways to publish as well as on your own terms that way you wouldn't be held to a deadline.
Manga in general is more of just a broad spectrum of an art style rather than any specific genre. Someone could make a graphic novel outside of Japan and still have it be in a complete anime-esque art style.
It's not where you go that makes a book big. There are plenty of manga that even people in Japan don't know about because there is so much competition that it just gets overlooked. Success comes down to how well something is received and it's notoriety. Place of origin is arbitrary 99% of the time. Really, I think making a comic book in an manga like style outside it's place of origin would help it stand out ever more. Meaning it'll get recognized easier.
Edit: And if you were hoping your work would've been adapted into an anime, it'd have to become REALLY popular in Japan. There some popular big manga that have been out for years that still haven't got an adaptation. Getting a show/movie based off a novel really comes down to it's popularity regardless of where it is. It's still perfectly possible to get an animation adaptation of your work if it gets big enough though so long as it your demands by the publishers.
The boat that Strength took over.
It's almost like we saw this happen before.
No.
Fandom loyalist are cringe. You can like more than one anime and there is really no point in trashing another.
Except Demon Slayer. They're sitting on the floor. Don't @ me.
Let's face it:
Kira just wasn't a threat to Jotaro. The only reason he somewhat struggled was mainly due to Koichi's neglectfulness in the SHA fight and Bites the Dust.
In a head on fight, Jotaro just wouldn't have trouble against Kira, so he'd have no reason to really jerk around other than light taunting. In fact, he most likely saw Koichi get impaled (probably thought he was dead) and still didn't kill Kira then and there.
DIO on the other hand, WAS a threat, even if Jotaro knew he could time stop beforehand. Not to mention he learned he had just killed Kakyoin and he saw him kill Joseph briefly right in front of his eyes. He didn't hold back against him and like Lazy said, he had no sympathy for him. DIO was lucky Jotaro was still sane enough to even allow him time to heal. The only person I think would've gotten a worse beating was Pucci if Jotaro didn't save Jolyne.
Edit; Then again, if that fan video was anything to go off of, Pucci ALMOST made him as pissed off as DIO.
