In every volume of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, the front folded flap of the dust jacket usually contains a picture of Hirohiko Araki himself, and more than often a quotation. The quotations featured below the picture are always different from each other, and are usually about Araki expressing his opinion on certain subjects. These subjects can be about anything, including information about characters or the story itself. The following quotes and pictures below are from the volumes of The JOJOLands.

TJL Volume 1[]

Quote
『The JOJOLands』 is the ninth part of 『JoJo's Bizarre Adventure』. The protagonist of this part is a 15-year-old boy. Fifteen is an age full of hope and dreams about the future. As the creator, I wish for him to grow up well and achieve great things.

By the way, the name "November Rain" appears in the story. "NOVEM" is Latin for the number nine. Historically, November was the ninth month in the Roman calendar before July and August were added, which pushed it to the eleventh month.

TJL Volume 2[]

Quote
I commute on foot. Sometimes I get stopped and questioned by the police, but as I walk, people give me food. They'll say things like, "Want some persimmons?" or "Here's some udon and radishes." It's not even from people in my neighborhood. Some of them are strangers to me. They're not asking for autographs either; they're all different people. Maybe I look hungry. I've even been given matsutake mushrooms once. Haha. Amazing, right? What I want to say is that this is how my workday starts.

TJL Volume 3[]

Quote
I've been hesitant to share this because it might sound strange, but when I was in my twenties, about 40 years ago, I traveled to Italy and made a little side trip to a northern town called Padua. Even though it was my first time there, I had this feeling of, "I know this place." Walking along the river, I somehow knew what buildings I would see, the views of the bridges, how to get to the church—things like that. And it all matched exactly. Because of that feeling, I've made it a habit to visit Padua whenever I travel. (To be continued in Volume 4)
