"Green Day" and "Oasis", Part 9 (『グリーン・ディ』と『オアシス』 その⑨ "Gurīn Dei" to "Oashisu" Sono 9), originally Horrible Guy! (ひどい野郎! Hidoi Yatsu!) in the WSJ release, is the one hundred twenty-third chapter of Vento Aureo and the five hundred sixty-second chapter of the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure manga.

Summary

Giorno manages to grab a ledge and is seemingly victorious. However, he suspects that Cioccolata may be faking his death, despite N.5 assuring of the contrary. He calmly explains how Cioccolata may plan to escape and reactivate Green Day, how he is gravely hurt and won't be able to climb back to Mista rapidly, leaving him open.

Giorno then says that Gold Experience will nonetheless be able to kill Cioccolata at close range and promises, if Cioccolata does nothing, to spare him. Suddenly Cioccolata wakes up and yells at Giorno to look at his partner. Cioccolata used Giorno's speech to sneak his left arm toward Mista and burrows his hand into the gunslinger's throat taking him hostage, Cioccolata is now free to flee, as Giorno will be forced to go help his friend. The mad surgeon's triumph is interrupted by a beetle digs out of his brain, to his incomprehension.

Giorno then explains that he only talked to buy time for his bullet to transform again into the beetle and devour his brain, disabling Cioccolata for good. The madman protests that Giorno promised to spare him, only for him to reply that he doesn't deserve such a treatment. Cioccolata attempts one last desperate attack, only for Gold Experience to repeatedly pummel him, throwing him into a garbage truck and finishing him off for good.

Top: Volume 60
Bottom: WSJ 1998, No.35

  • The volume release of this chapter's lengthy beatdown includes two extra pages drawn by Araki. This double page spread was not present in the Weekly Shōnen Jump version.
  • Cioccolata is the first and only antagonist to suffer a 7-page fist barrage, also marking him the antagonist to suffer the longest beating of any other. According to JOJO A-GO!GO!, this was the first time in shōnen manga history that a "seven page beatdown" was featured.[2]
