SPOILER WARNING: Part 3 Spoiler details may follow.

The Egypt 9 Glory Gods (エジプト9栄神 Ejiputo Kyū Ei Shin) are a group of key minor antagonists featured in the second half of Stardust Crusaders. They function as the elite Stand Users amongst DIO's army. Their Stands are named after Egyptian Gods, including some of the main Ennead, rather than the typical Part 3 naming scheme of Tarot Cards.

The group is assembled by DIO to remain in Egypt and act as his last defense against the Joestar Group for his lair in Cairo, should they manage to defeat his other assassins on their journey to Egypt. All of the Stand Users have one confrontation with the Joestar group, all fail in their mission to defeat them, and all are either retired or killed in return. Boingo is the only exception to this, who after being defeated alongside his brother originally, returns one more time with one of DIO's previous mercenaries to face the Joestar Group, but is once again unsuccessful in his mission.

Most of the Egypt 9 Glory Gods are human Stand Users but the penultimate member to face the Joestar Group, Pet Shop, wielder of the Horus Stand, is a falcon. One other slight exception is the original user of the Anubis Stand, who was human but has since died. The Anubis Stand now lives independently within a sword.

Trivia

  • The title, "Egypt 9 Glory Gods" is derived from the Greek term "Ennead"; which was used to describe the nine primary deities in Egyptian mythology. The real Ennead consists of the gods AtumW, ShuW, TefnutW, NutW, GebW, OsirisW, IsisW, SetW, and NephthysW.
  • Although they are shown on the map of Stand battles against the Egyptian 9 Glory Gods at the top of this page, Hol Horse and Vanilla Ice are not considered members.
  • The Joestar Group only discovered seven of the nine members due to the fact they never realized who Oingo and Boingo were throughout all encounters with them, though this was done because of the comedic nature of the duo.
