Summary[]

Emporio begins to recount his time spent in Green Dolphin Street Prison from to time of his birth. He recounts when the mysterious Stand, Whitesnake began to appear, and how it could put people to sleep with its goo as well as dissolve them all while stealing their minds and Stands with it's ability to create DISCs. Jolyne is adamant on finding Whitesnake so she may retrieve her father's mind and Stand. Emporio states his confidence in her abilities and awaits her release from solitary confinement. He then says the he must contact another inmate whose name is Ermes Costello.

Elsewhere, a man mopping the floor witnesses Ermes resting on a bed. He proceeds to sneak his hand up her dress to take some cash, but Ermes feels the hand and awakens to call the man out, but he is already gone. She then realizes that she is on an IV Drip, and proceeds to remove a sticker from her hand. She recalls what happened back at the holding cell, how she found a pendant and how she sold it to Gwess. She then looks at the examination card and realizes that she had slept through six examinations, but notes that she currently feels alright. She then notices that she has more stickers attached to her hand, which scares her. She then notices that there is a third shoe on the ground next to her own, and when she attempts to pick up the shoe, she notices a sixth finger on her hand. She rips off the sticker causing her sixth finger to fuse back into five, which causes some pain. She then notices a chamber pot with a sticker on it. She rips that sticker off as well as the pot fuses back into a single pot and shatters. She screams in terror, which awakens the other prisoners. She tells them to go back to sleep. She then begins to understand how her power works, and so she places a sticker on one of the mops nearby and waits for the janitor to take it. When he does, she removes the sticker which causes the object to fuse back to the original, which catches the man between the two mops. She then grabs the man and demands to know where the money he stole from her is. She then notices a set of DISCs protruding from the man's head, and she takes one of them. When the janitor wakes up, Ermes hides from him. She is then discharged from the infirmary. She asks a doctor about the man's name, but the guards tell her to move along.

She asks the other inmates about it, but none of them know who she is talking about. Sneaking off to the bathroom, Ermes examines the DISC where she witnesses things from the eyes of the janitor, identified at this time as "Thunder McQueen", including seeing the Stand Whitesnake. Quickly removing the DISC from her body, she accidentally drops it in the toilet. Someone then calls her from behind. It was McQueen. McQueen tells her that she has been followed. Ermes snaps at him asking him what his deal is, but to her surprise, the man begins to cry. He tells her that he doesn't know what's up with him, and upon asking him if he's going to be okay, McQueen becomes overjoyed. But this joy doesn't last long as he soon returns to depression, and decides to hang himself with his own belt. At around that time, Ermes feels herself being lifted up as four propeller-like objects protrude from her neck.

Ermes witnesses the DISC as Whitesnake explains to McQueen his role. He tells McQueen that he admires his lack of animosity, and that animosity will always find something stronger to destroy it. But he notes that instead, McQueen has his own particular type of evil that makes him feel like a victim. He tells McQueen that there is someone he wants him to eliminate. He bestows upon McQueen a special ability. Ermes assumes that the person Whitesnake wants dead is herself. Ermes is choking as McQueen is trying to hang himself. She quickly uses her sticker on the belt that McQueen is attempting to use to kill himself to make a second belt. She then removes the sticker from the second belt which causes it to violently fuse back to the original belt, the recoil causing it to snap. This causes McQueen to fall and saves his life, and in turn, Ermes' life.

She yells at McQueen, but he seems to be unaware of their situation. He then promises to treasure his life, but the moment she turns away from him, he attempts to drown himself in the restroom's sink. Suddenly, a goo begins to come from her nose and mouth and threatens to drown her as well. She notices the scars on his wrists and knows that he must suffer from chronic depression and suicidal tendencies. McQueen's ability makes he float, but she uses a sticker on her nose to form a second nose that allows her to breathe. Using a mop, she stops him from drowning himself. She realizes that his ability must be linked to the DISC she had taken. She takes the DISC out of the toilet, planning to hold onto it. McQueen begs her to let him die, but she tells him to stay away from her or she will kill him. He then begs her to kill him. As she leaves, he notices that she has his DISC.

Ermes makes her way through the medical ward when suddenly she finds Emporio. She is confused as to why a boy is in prison. Emporio begins to tell her about their true enemy, Whitesnake, and the appearance of DISCs that contain memories and Stands. Ermes then shows the boy the DISC she got from McQueen, but suddenly Ermes' wrists begin to bleed as she feels a shock run through her. She realizes that McQueen is attempting to kill himself via electrocution, and that his ability still has her ensnared. Emporio offers his assistance to her as the jolting stops. Emporio thinks that McQueen stopped attempting to electrocute himself so that he might find saline water to increase his body's conductivity. Ermes knows that saline water is stored in the medical ward and so she rushes to the storage room to find McQueen tied to a live wire and attempting to drench himself in water. She attempts to explain the situation to him and asks him to think positively. Instead, he begins to recount his story to her. Four years prior, McQueen was cleaning his shotgun which he didn't know was loaded. During the process, he accidentally fired a slug which went out the window and struck a woman who herself was in the middle of suicide by jumping from her window. It was an accident, but the police didn't see it that way and assumed he had killed the woman and put him in prison. McQueen then screams as he attempts to throw the switch. Ermes attempts to stop him by offering her panties to him, but he sees through this and still plans to kill himself. Ermes then calls him selfish which makes him cry for joy due to his admiration of Ermes, but he still plans to kill himself, electing to bring Ermes down with him so he won't die alone. He flips the switch, electrocuting himself and Ermes, but Ermes attaches a sticker to his head which causes him to develop a second head. Just as she anticipated, the second sticker burns away and causes his head to violently merge back together, which snaps the live wire and causes them to fall. The jar loosens the Stand DISC which Ermes quickly takes. With the threat of McQueen out of the way, Ermes attempts to take the $5000 from McQueen that he had stored away, and then decides to fight against Whitesnake, and so she decides to join up with Jolyne.
