Summary[]

GW ep36 doppio death

"I'm so lonely... could you call me again, like you always have, Boss...?"

In the Colosseum, it is revealed that Doppio's soul was in Bucciarati's body all along. Having seen the body that Diavolo entered when everyone's souls were switched, Doppio is confident that victory is guaranteed; however, he feels lonely as he succumbs to his wounds. He feebly reaches for a nearby phone, pleading for his Boss to call him one more time.

With Polnareff grabbing the Arrow, Chariot Requiem spurs into action and rushes toward Coco Jumbo, leaving only Mista able to protect him. Mista draws his revolver, but it has inexplicably broken - fortunately, he has another gun stolen from a policeman and shoots Chariot in the face, protecting Polnareff at the cost of once again losing the Arrow to Chariot Requiem. During the reprieve, Mista asks Sex Pistols why the cylinder broke, to which No.5 suggests that Diavolo may have broken it; this worries the group, but the other Sex Pistols dismiss the idea. Chariot Requiem gets back up and resumes attacking Polnareff, identifying him as a threat since he's touched the Arrow. Mista and Giorno cripple Chariot, but it doggedly continues to pursue Mista and Polnareff. Mista tries to take refuge up a lamp post, but one of Chariot Requiem's hands emerges from inside the post to touch Polnareff; suddenly, it inexplicably stops its attack and resumes walking away.

GW ep36 polnareff mutation

An eldritch abomination begins to develop on Coco Jumbo's body due to the prolonged state of Chariot Requiem's Soul Manipulation

The team is initially confused by Chariot Requiem's erratic actions, but Polnareff realizes that his former Stand is activating its ultimate ability. A monstrous being begins emerging from Polnareff's turtle body; worse, the same phenomenon is beginning to affect everyone else, including the team. They realize that Chariot Requiem is switching everyone's souls with "something else"; Mista is particularly angered about this, lashing out at Polnareff before Bucciarati calms him down. Unbeknownst to the team, Diavolo's soul is nearby and has come up with a means of defeating Chariot Requiem; he patiently waits for Team Bucciarati to come close to it again so he can put it into action.

GW ep36 choke me daddy

Diavolo manipulates Trish's soul

However, Giorno suddenly shouts at the team to stop moving and stay away from each other - he's examined Mista's discarded revolver and proved that it was sabotaged. Mista points out that nobody has approached them since the Colosseum, which Giorno confirms as further proof of his theory: Diavolo's soul is within one of their own bodies! He explains that the Boss must be inhabiting one of them in the same way that he shared a body with Doppio; he must not be able to fully dominate his current host, limiting his actions to short uses of his Stand's powers. The Boss is annoyed that Giorno has accurately deduced his current state. To detect Diavolo, Giorno thus plans to use Gold Experience to sense how many souls there are in each of them, using Polnareff's dripping blood trick to detect any time erasure. After confirming Polnareff's innocence and having a tense argument with Mista, Giorno approaches Bucciarati, making a small wound on his hand to count the drops.

Suddenly, time skips and King Crimson appears behind Giorno, severing Gold Experience's hand before he can react. Trish summons Spice Girl to protect Giorno, but her Stand is suddenly seized by King Crimson. It is revealed that Diavolo was hiding with Trish's soul inside Mista's body all this time, moving her body without her noticing. Now that Spice Girl is in the open, King Crimson can physically dominate her and manipulate Trish's body like a puppet.

"I, Diavolo, have the Arrow!"

Evading Sticky Fingers, Diavolo begins to run towards Chariot Requiem; Bucciarati realizes that Diavolo has a plan to retrieve the Arrow. He tells Mista to shoot at Diavolo, but Mista grimly reports that he has already fired; King Crimson has skipped time to evade Mista's shots. Bucciarati and Mista run after the Boss, but it's far too late; Diavolo has already caught up to Chariot Requiem near the Ponte Sant' AngeloW while Giorno and Polnareff can only watch from afar.

Diavolo walks around Chariot, observing how its shadow is always directly opposite his own position in complete disregard for the light of the sun. With this in mind, Diavolo deduces Chariot Requiem's true nature: it exists within the "shadow" of the viewer's soul. With this in mind, King Crimson punches behind Diavolo's head, hitting a small orb of light responsible for casting the shadow; Chariot Requiem immediately collapses, allowing Diavolo to take hold of the Arrow.

GW ep36 domestic violence

"You have made me very angry!"

Suddenly, Giorno intervenes, transforming the drops of his blood stuck to King Crimson's hand into a swarm of ants; they gnaw through the shaft of the Arrow and make the tip fall on the ground. Mista empties his magazine to force King Crimson to defend itself while Sex Pistols ride some bullets to reach the Arrow and knock it back to him, but a corpse suddenly gets in the way of the bullets and also sends the Arrowhead to King Crimson's feet. Bucciarati is still too far and Mista must reload his gun; both are helpless as a "grateful" King Crimson reaches for the Arrowhead. Suddenly, a bullet comes out and knocks the Arrow in the air toward the team. To Diavolo's shock, Spice Girl reveals that she had softened Mista's bullets as King Crimson punched them so they would stick to its hand; she then reverted them to normal for a surprise attack. Spice Girl announces that she won't run from adversity; instead, she will do whatever she needs to in order to overcome her father.

As Mista reaches for the flying Arrow, Diavolo curses himself for ever conceiving a daughter, noting that he has yet to overcome his past. Furious with Trish's interference, King Crimson punches Spice Girl in the stomach, mortally wounding Trish and sending Mista's body flying toward the Arrowhead. Bucciarati looks on in horror as Trish's soul goes limp.
