The Wonder of You (The Miracle of Your Love), Part 16 (ザ・ワンダー・オブ・ユー（君の奇跡の愛） その⑭ Za Wandā Obu Yū (Kimi no Kiseki no Ai) Sono 16), originally titled Endless Calamity, Part 5 (終わりなき厄災 その⑤ Owari Naki Yakusai Sono 5) is the ninety ninth chapter of JoJolion and the nine hundred forty-sixth chapter of the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure manga.
Summary[]
Rock Human females are identical to human women and human men can reproduce with them. Rock Human mothers birth during the warmer seasons and pregnancy only lasts six months. The mother leaves the child in the forest after being born. Life expectancy is very low of newborn Rock Humans hence they are extremely small.
When attacked by Asian giant hornets, the child latches onto them without being harmed. When finally in the nest, the child will seek the queen and take refuge in the soft part of her body. For seventeen years, the young Rock Human survives this way and learns about the world around it. Afterward, the Rock Human will suddenly grow, kill all the wasps and venture out into the world. Toru has firsthand experience of this since he is a Rock Human.
Four billion years ago when life was based on carbon, some were based on silicon and developed seamlessly alongside carbon-based organisms. Rock Humans are what will remain if humans fall. Rock Humans do not experience love and find the earth's formations to be blessings. They create homes from various stones that supply them with more power.
In a flashback, a young Mamezuku is at his father's funeral. He hugs Norisuke and tells him about his father's pear orchard. They talk about the strange bugs that would eat all the pears. At the funeral, Mamezuku notices a man that he doesn't recognize, but couldn't ponder on it.
Presently, Mamezuku realizes that the man was Akefu. Akefu reveals he is a stand named Wonder of U. Dododo De Dadada appears behind Josuke while he is attacked with the crane. When he summons Soft & Wet, asbestos spews from his eyes and mouth. Akefu explains that the Rock Insect's ability activates when Josuke tries to escape or extends his joints. Akefu also reminiscences the past and reveals to Mamezuku that his father's death was caused by Wonder of U's ability.
