Summary[]

Ultimate Dio alongside a variant of Funny Valentine
Jorge looks up to see the giant Antonio, as Ultimate Dio is standing on U-Boat's deck. Ultimate Dio looks at Kars and brags about how he has managed to stand at the very top of the world and the universe, because he had consumed a version of Kars to achieve the ultimate power. He challenges Kars to come and take his place. Both Kars and Ultimate Dio paid no attention to the thirty-six universes compressing and were only focused on each other. Jorge backs away with Penelope and Naranica behind him, as they all watch in fear. Kars questions Dio, asking him what more he wants because he has conquered the sun and gained immortality, but claims he cannot become an Ultimate being like him. He mentions how he also wanted to conquer the sun, slaughtered his own kind,[1] and waited a quadrillion years. He says the only place where life was worth living was Earth. Dio continues to wait for Kars to come at him, finally accepting his offer, Kars says that this is a perfect opportunity to test out their immortality. Funny Valentine, one of his servants, removes Dio's cape and steps back.

Narancia hurtles across the trees while carrying Jorge
As Kars approaches, Dio throws a barrage of punches at him, causing Kars to explode into a few pieces. The pieces fly at Jorge and stab him, breaking his bones. Narancia puts U-Boat away and carries Jorge and Penelope as they fall to the ground. He and Penelope hurtle through the trees as the bits of Kars dig into Jorge's flesh. Jorge watches as a drop of Kars' blood reforms back into him, as he walks away. When Jorge regains consciousness, he realizes that Kars had healed all of his wounds. Suddenly, someone slaps Jorge on the head. He looks up to see a young woman with long hair, she was riding a surfboard made of leaves using a mysterious power. Penelope looks to see that it is Elizabeth, she asks who the boy is, and Jorge hands her his detective card and introduces himself. He is shocked to see that she can speak Japanese amazingly as she reads his card. Narancia uses U-Boat to land on the floor, Jorge watches as Elizabeth lands with her surfboard of leaves, he says he likes her Stand, she explains that it is actually an ability called Ripple. Penelope had mentioned this ability to Jorge when she was telling him the story of the other Jorge Joestar's life. Elizabeth explains that she noticed that the zombies were gathering up in London which is why she came. She asks who Kars is, Jorge hesitates before telling her. He knows that in a few decades, Kars and Elizabeth would have their battle along with her son, Joseph. He believes that this could cause a time paradox, despite this, Penelope just straight up tells her. Elizabeth says she can't do anything about fate, Penelope says she will help her find her husband regardless.

Dio and Kars exchange violent blows
Narancia interrupts the two, pointing at Dio and Kars as they exchange blows, exploding and reassembling their bodies faster each time. Elizabeth notices that Great Britain had been traveling east all this time as the sun sets, they have been traveling at 460 meters per second. Elizabeth notices that the sun is setting, she thinks Dio has a strategy and might be buying time. As Jorge is staring at the sunset, he notices that some American Air Force pilots fly quickly past them. They manage to get past the barrier that is surrounding Britain and fly into the giant Antonio's stomach detonating bombs on the way. Jorge looks above Antonio and sees President Funny Valentine with his Stand. He notices that Valentine was holding out a message, using U-Boats binoculars, he sees that the message says "COURAGE". A man behind them says that this is a warning, Jorge turns to see that it is the younger version of Funny Valentine that was with Dio. Suddenly, he spreads out the cape that Dio had worn and throws it onto Jorge. Elizabeth lands a punch at Valentine, but the cape flies onto him regardless. Jorge sees that he is in the middle of a red desert. Valentine tries to stay on his feet, the effects of Ripple had ruined his face. As he returns to normal, Jorge sees a car coming their way. He sees that the driver is another Funny Valentine. Valentine explains that they are 'across worlds' with the use of his Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap.
As the car pulls over, the other Valentine's greet Jorge. He sees three other cars driving across the desert. Funny explains that they are competing in the Steel Ball race, and that this is only the second stage. Jorge had read about the history of the race, and thought it was just a local event. Funny pulls out a book, and explains that he had been hiring his men to collect 'holy scriptures'. Jorge explains that one of his ancestors in his adopted family had participated in the race once, but with horses instead of cars. Funny explains that other universes can have a repeating history but with minor variations. Jorge finally understands what the 'Spiral staircase' meant by this, and realizes that Pucci tried to reach the next universe using his Stand; attempting to connect history and create a 'loop' with the other universes. Instead of creating a loop, he created a 'Spiral staircase' of universes, and because of this, Dio punished him[2] and considered it a sin.
