Summary[]
Erina leads Lisa Lisa, Jorge, and Straizo to a secret basement, and showing them the severed head of Jonathan Joestar. Erina explains that she had kept the head for fifteen years since the day of his death. Jorge wonders how the head still looks like the way it was since he died, instead of just a skull and a few pieces of flesh. Even though she was only an infant, surprisingly, Lisa Lisa still had memories of the horrible person who was with them when the two were in the coffin; Dio Brando. Erina asks Penelope and Straizo to go upstairs to explain her story. Erina had sat on her chair silently before she could explain. Growing impatient, Lisa Lisa asks if Erina saved Dio in the explosion. Erina continued to stay silent. Lisa Lisa explains how she had went back to the Joestar Manor to learn more about the history of Jonathan and Dio, and asked people of that town about them.
Erina breaks her silence, scolding Lisa Lisa emotionally, explaining that a sixteen-year old girl shouldn't speak about love the way she understands. She begins to calm her tone again and begins her story. She describes Dio to be a cruel and vile man, and everything that he did to her and Jonathan. She even explains how he even murdered Jonathan's dog, Danny. But later on become friends, as of Dio's plan, and later on backstabbing Jonathan. She begins to explain the story of what happened while they were in the box. She says that Jonathan had asked her to save baby Elizabeth before he died. She climbed into the box with the infant in her arms. She heard Dio cry as he claimed he could give Jonathan eternal life. She closes the lid, and locks it. The ship explodes, flinging the box into the sea, causing the infant to cry. Erina tried not to scream, she tried to sing to the infant to calm her down. Thinking that they landed on water, Erina opens the box, when an arm suddenly grabs her and a voice calls her name. It was Dio Brando, who had stolen the body of Jonathan Joestar. He grabs the infant, using her as a hostage, and offers to spare her if Erina gives him her blood. Unable to refuse, Erina offers her arm to Dio. He returns the child and drinks a large amount of blood from Erina, almost causing her to pass out.
She closes the lid, claiming that Dio had spent the night in pain. She had heard him splashing in the water, trying to gain control of the body. He even yelled at it, and shook the coffin. Erina just held Lisa Lisa and trembled. Before the sun had rose, Dio knocked on the coffin, asking for more blood. Dio brings out a fistful of fish, which had been cooked using his Space-Ripper Stingy Eyes. She takes the fish, and eats it, feeding some to Lisa Lisa. Watching as she wasn't eating herself, Dio says that she should eat to feed the baby and the baby inside of her. Surprising Erina, because she didn't know she was pregnant. After feeding Lisa Lisa, she finishes the fish. A while later, Dio goes back to the bottom compartment of the box. Seeing through her scheme to burn him with the sunlight, Dio threatens that he can kill both her and the baby anytime he wishes. She froze in fear, Dio says that she must feed him more blood as punishment. He grabs the baby, and says that Erina cannot die, or he will have to eat the baby.
Dio flips the box over with a mysterious power, and grabs a bird and cooks it for her to eat. Wondering how he managed to do all of that without fearing the sun, she eats the bird. After a while, Dio began to lose his mind, and begins to abuse and verbally harass her. He yelled awful things to her and says that she was responsible for Jonathan's death. Every time Erina cried, he'd fall silent, and then change his tone and apologize. Erina also apologizes, causing Dio to think she is mocking him. Suddenly, Erina is grabbed by an invisible figure and is thrown into the water, and nearly drowns. She is pulled out and is thrown back into the box. Dio changes his tone again, and explains why she is worthless and why she deserved to be thrown into the water. Several days went by, Dio continued to drink Erina's blood. After this constant manipulation, Erina begins to lose her sense and even agreed to marry Dio. Sitting on the lid of the box one night, Dio used his invisible power to grab Erina and bring her to him. He asks her to kiss him, as her new husband. Regaining her consciousness, Erina slaps him across the face. Dio had not changed and was the same man from 10 years ago. She learns that Dio had kept Jonathan's head alive, to humiliate her along with his body. She tries to look for his head, when Dio grabs her throat and tries to kiss her. She snaps and begins to lecture him. Saying that he has no right to speak to her, and that he has a shallow mind with his overwhelming self-importance.
He reacts by shoving her back into the water, pulls her out, and does it a second time. She nearly passes out, and it thrown ten meters away from the box. She sees Jonathan's head under the debris of the box and pretends to faint, and tries to swim to it as fast as she could. Dio's power finds her and grabs her out of the water, yelling at her saying that the head will try to eat her. He grabs the head, when it began to speak. Dio looks at the head and asks why Jonathan continues to pursue him, and begins to throw a fit. Having to protect Jonathan's head, Erina grabs a piece of driftwood and stabs her throat. As a nurse, she knew that this will kill her. Dio screams and and she passes out. Realizing that he had given her blood to revive her. Because of the large amounts of blood he gave her, Dio was now as weak as before. She finally understands how lonely Dio had been after his sacrifice. He asks if she will kill him with the sun, she states that she will not. Erina feels pity for Dio and lets him rest in the lower compartment of the box.
As her story ends, Erina looks at Lisa Lisa and states that her biggest mistake was letting Dio live. Although, she claims that she has hope for Jonathan. She states that if Dio is alive, Jonathan could also live. She had been saved by a group of fishermen on a ship. Lisa Lisa glances at Erina and explains how Dio's mysterious power wasn't something a vampire could possess, until after he had taken Jonathan's body. She claims that her Hamon masters call these "Hamon Spirits" or Stands. As her story finished, the three go upstairs. Penelope suddenly runs to Jorge and throws her arms around him. Claiming that a lot of people were killed. A fire had broken out on a church in La Palma, killing over seventy people without anyone knowing why they were there at night. Lisa Lisa claims that everyone who had died had seen the man with black wings. She names it the Mothman. At the church, the pictures were covered with the Mothman; seemingly placed by the people over there. Lisa Lisa learns that the drawings were made with ash, revealing that the people had been turned into zombies and then perished in the fire again. Erina claims that this might've happened because of their presence. She decides that they should return back to England with Penelope. Jorge asks Erina if she had wanted to leave Jonathan's body, she states that when the time comes, they will be brought together again with the power that they have.
