Shuichi (修一 Shūichi) is a minor character featured in the one-shot Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan - Episode 2: Mutsu-kabe Hill.
Personality[]
Little of Shuichi's personality is shown in the one-shot, but he does have notes of care for his future wife, Naoko Osato. After hearing her scream from inside the house, he becomes worried and opens the door, but retreats when he realizes that she appears to be just fine (aside from her hidden blood-drinking) and that he wrongfully intruded into her home. He seemed excessively worried that there could be someone else in the room with her, possibly from either jealousy or fear. He carries hints of a possessive personality—having been giving a spare key, he finds himself entitled to stand outside her door and suggest that they spend "time alone together"—despite sharing little passion with Naoko during their marriage.

Long before the time of this one-shot, Shuichi's and Naoko's families decided that the two would marry after Naoko's college graduation. He seemed to care about her, but she loved her current/actual boyfriend, Gunpei Kamafusa. Described by Gunpei as a 70-year-old man, Shuichi could be years if not decades older than Naoko. Even so, their life together was happy and despite not burning with passion for one another, they were blessed with two kids. Unbeknownst to Shuichi, however, the two children they raised were in fact fathered by Gunpei's corpse, which Naoko kept hidden in a room above the bedroom closet.
