After F.F. defeats the alligator, Ermes and Jolyne find out that Maxx became an invisible zombie and escaped the pipe after his body drowned in the sewage. Maxx lures the two into the prison's mausoleum and revives several dead prisoners to get revenge on Ermes for killing him. Ermes allows herself to be attacked and uses Kiss's ability to locate Maxx. Though Maxx takes a bite out of her head, Ermes completely annihilates him before passing out from her injuries. Jolyne uses Maxx's discs to review his memories before she is detained and taken to the prison's Disciplinary Wing.[1]
