Stone Ocean (石作りの海 Sutōn Ōshan) is the first episode of Stone Ocean and the one-hundred-fifty-third episode of the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure anime. The episode covers from Chapter 595 to Chapter 597 of the original manga.
Summary[]
The episode starts with the protagonist, Jolyne Cujoh, crying in her cell. Much to the other prisoners' annoyance, dismayed, they ask Jolyne why she is so upset. Reluctantly, Jolyne tells them that a guard caught her masturbating. One of the prisoners starts mocking her and laughing, and another one chimes in saying that they would never masturbate, and that Jolyne and the other prisoner is impure. Jolyne decides to challenge her, whoever masturbates first loses.
The prisoner says that she can't tell how she masturbated, but Jolyne replies saying that she can by using her ring finger, and remarks that she was in here for sexual assault. The prisoner is shocked. Jolyne talks to her lawyer about how to defend her in court. Jolyne's Lawyer is talking to Jolyne, he says that her father gave her a pendant. Jolyne picks it up, but it cuts her and she throws it in the sewage out of anger and pain.
Ermes Costello, the prisoner that was mocking Jolyne for getting caught, and Jolyne, get on a bus to Green Dolphin Street Prison. Ermes and Jolyne chat on the bus, Ermes warns Jolyne that she has to keep some money with her. Jolyne also reveals that Ermes kept money in her breast implants.
The guard tells Jolyne to get off the bus, but she can hear sounds of Ermes being molested by corrupt cops in their attempt to get her money. Jolyne subconsciously tears the guard's ear off, and Ermes is left alone.
Jolyne meets with the lawyer again, It is then revealed that Jolyne's boyfriend, Romeo, accidentally ran over somebody.
Jolyne insists on taking him to the hospital, but Romeo remarks that the person they ran over is already dead, and he does not want to go to prison. He begs Jolyne to hide the body, Jolyne, due to her love for Romeo hides the body in the car.

Jolyne's lawyer insists on plea bargaining. The lawyer says that if she admits to the crime, she will only receive a one-to-two year sentence. Jolyne refuses, holding on to the idea that she is innocent. However, in court, she accepts the terms of the bargain, and pleads guilty to all charges. However, the lawyer had tricked her.
Since she had hid the corpse, the plea bargain is ineffective and she is sentenced to fifteen years in Green Dolphin Street Prison. Very angry, and quite confused, Jolyne confronts the lawyer, only to be ignored, as it is revealed that the lawyer and Romeo were scheming this all along.
Jolyne is told that she is no longer being called by Jolyne Cujoh in this prison, and her new name is FE40536. The head guard tells her to strip, and Jolyne does, while mocking the guards. Jolyne is then shown taking a mugshot.
The letter Jolyne requested to send to the lawyer.
Jolyne sees the lawyer that scammed her and put her in prison. She is very angry at him. The one in charge of the prison, Loccobarocco, sends a letter to the lawyer. The lawyer lies to Loccobarocco, and says that he wishes he could have helped her more, and she was very young. Jolyne then remarks that she can't reach him as is, but will not wait 15 years.
It then cuts to the lawyer opening the letter. The letter says, "Pass this on to him, too, feeling comfy? But you will keep sweating. Now... and forever."
The lawyer is confused about the letter, and puts it in his car. In the car, he says that it is much more comfortable than the prison, and remarks that he does not want to be in the prison with 'those trash'.
The lawyer turns on the A.C. The lawyer cannot breath, as Jolyne's new ability is strangling him, He tries to turn off the Air Conditioning, so the string can dry up and stop strangling him, Jolyne's new ability comes off, but the lawyer's car crashes into the pavement.
The episode then ends, showcasing the ending.
