Summary[]
This arc is a flashback to events that transpired in the year 1941. It revolves around something known as "The Radio Gaga Incident" in which someone heard a voice coming from a guardrail and listened to it only to be stripped of their clothes and disappear into the rail, leaving behind only their clothes and a severed foot.
Lucy Steel, now in her 60s, arrives in Morioh. Her cab driver cannot carry her bags, so a stranger decides to help. However, that stranger turns out to be a thief and attempts to escape with her luggage. This man is stopped by a young man named Fumi who reclaims her bags. However, Fumi loses his wallet in this altercation, and now he cannot afford to go on a date with his girlfriend, so he attempts to work for Lucy for a time to earn enough money to pay for the sushi. Lucy claims to work for the Speedwagon Foundation. She says she is here to investigate the mysterious Locacaca Fruit, believing the Higashikata Family Estate to be a Devil's Palm. Fumi tells her that her about the Radio Gaga Incident that occurred near a guardrail, but she doesn't listen and goes to the orchard anyway. During this time, the guardrail takes Lucy's cab driver, and turns to make Lucy its next victim.
Fumi manages to pull her free after throwing his his sandal into the guardrail. However, the body of the cab driver now attempts to stop them from escaping, wrapping the exposed organs around Fumi and Lucy. Utilizing his Hermit Purple, he manages to drive the car into the guardrail and free themselves. It is then that Fumi reveals his true name to Lucy Steel: Joseph Joestar, revealing himself as Johnny Joestar's grandson. He tries to get her to leave with him, but she tries to stop him after witnessing Toru in the orchard, holding a Locacaca Fruit. However, Joseph refuses her attempts to stop him and proceeds to take her into town. Joseph eventually travels back to America with Lucy where he marries a woman named Suzie Q and gives birth to a daughter that would become Holy Joestar-Kira. Back in the present, they find a woman named Kiyomi Kujo, who is revealed to be the mother of Josefumi Kujo. However, Josuke disregards this, even after witnessing images that prove that he was loved by her. He states that he is neither Josefumi Kujo or Yoshikage Kira and that he's Josuke Higashikata. They meet up with the family outside of the Hospital as they celebrate Norisuke's discharge and plan to get a cake. Yasuho meanwhile sheds a tear, happy that Josuke finally found a family that loves him.
