Summary[]

Jolyne begins to learn more about her Stand, including it's strengths and weaknesses. She learns that she can unravel it like string to have it travel long distances and accomplish various feats. However, when sending it out at a long distance, it becomes fragile and easily damaged. When the string is clumped together, it can form a body with a range of 2 Meters and is considered a Close-Range Power-Type, though it's strength limits her from being able to break through prison bars (Unlike her Father's Stand).

Jolyne waits to make a phone call, and as she does so, another prisoner asks to borrow a dollar so that she can continue her call. Jolyne gives her the dollar and moves toward an empty phone, but is pushed back by another prisoner. Gwess then appears and tells Jolyne that she should be careful when giving away money, even a single dollar, as it my damage her reputation with the other prisoners.

In the library, Jolyne confronts the prisoner who borrowed her dollar, but the prisoner gets defensive and refuses. They ask her for more money instead. Jolyne proceeds to come up with a nefarious plan to get her money back. She crushes a coin and discretely puts the contents into the prisoner's drink and then proceeds to take up the bathroom stall. Eventually, the prisoner develops a stomach ache from the poisoning of their drink and seeks to use the bathroom, but Jolyne refuses to leave. The prisoner offers to pay her the dollar back if she leaves, but Jolyne refuses to leave until she is offered ten dollars in return. As she leaves, she spots a baseball role by and a small boy wearing a baseball uniform chase after it. This boy informs her that someone would visit her tomorrow and to stay away from them or else "something worse than death" would happen. A moment later and the child is gone. Jolyne ponders how in the world a child could sneak into prison like that.

Elsewhere, a blind prisoner finishes his shower when a prison guard informs him that a visitor has come to the other building. The prisoner offers the guard some money in exchange for the information and leaves.

Jolyne is then taken to the visiting area where she is informed to have a visitor. Suddenly, the child appears and tells her not to go, but Jolyne ignores the warning. The child instead gives her a bone and tells her to not let go of it. Jolyne then meets a man in a familiar, dark coat. It is Jolyne's father, Jotaro Kujo. Having a flashback, Jolyne remembers the time she was detained for Assault, Grand Theft, and stealing a wallet. Her mother begs the police to let her daughter go, and in the end, the police decide to drop charges. Jotaro however never made an appearance at this time, even after being told by her mother about the incident, instead going to Tokyo.

As the flashback ends, Jotaro is sitting there and asks her about the pendant he sent her. Jolyne is angered by Jotaro's sudden interest in her life and beats a nearby guard unconscious, telling Jotaro that she would rather be punished than have to talk to him. Moving on, Jotaro provides a picture of another prisoner. He identifies this prisoner as Johngalli A. and tells her that this man was responsible for her incarceration. He states that Johngalli A. hired someone to throw the pedestrian in front of the car and later hired a bad lawyer to trick Jolyne into confessing to a crime she didn't commit. Jolyne questions why this prisoner would do that, and Jotaro mentions that Johngalli A. is a former follower of DIO, Jotaro's old enemy, and states that it is Johngalli A.'s goal to get revenge on the Joestar Bloodline for defeating DIO. Jotaro further tells his daughter to user her Stand to escape prison, but Jolyne refuses to view Jotaro as a father, and instead decides to escape in her own way. She prepares to leave, but is then shot by a mysterious assassin. She manages to survive however by creating a string mesh over her chest to stop the bullet from killing her. Instead, she merely gets thrown against the table.

Jotaro realizes that this must be the work of an enemy Stand.

user and cautions his daughter. He mentions that it would not be hard for Johngalli A. to sneak a sniper rifle into prison. He looks out the window and witnesses Manhattan Transfer floating on the air currents. At around this time, the guard wakes up and begins to attack Jolyne. Jotaro steps in to protect her when suddenly another gunshot rings through the air.
