Summary[]

Jotaro and Jolyne are still attempting to hide from Johngalli A.'s attacks. Jotaro mentions that they don't know where Johngalli A. is, and so they should focus on attacking his Stand instead. Jolyne proceeds to shoot a string out at Manhattan Transfer against Jotaro's wishes.

Elsewhere, in the men's ward, Johngalli A. is sitting peacefully as the guards pass him by. As soon as they're gone, Johngalli reassembles his rifle, which he had concealed as a cane, and proceeds to speak to himself about the principles of sniping, and further begins to speak of how wind can be unpredictable, but still read. He demonstrates his point by likening the wind to a fly which appears to move randomly, but can still be predicted. He drops a shell and crushes a fly with it. He then locates Jolyne and Jotaro and grows angrier and desires revenge against them and their entire bloodline for killing DIO.

Jolyne activates the sprinkler system with a lighter, hoping to make the falling of water disturb the air enough to make the Stand unable to read their movements. At first, it appears to be working as Manhattan Transfer's movements begin to become a bit more erratic. However, Jotaro tells her to look closer, and Jolyne recognizes that the Stand isn't confused, it is merely dodging every drop of water as it comes in, meaning it's ability to read the air has not been impaired. Jotaro tells her to continue sticking to the wall, but suddenly the boy from earlier appears and tells Jolyne to kick a block at the base of a nearby pillar. When she does so, a secret passage way opens up. Jotaro wishes to go in to escape the enemy, but Jolyne stops him, telling him that Manhattan Transfer is gone. She knows that this must mean that Johngalli A. is tracking the boy, hoping to kill him. Hoping to save him, Jolyne instead breaks the door lock and makes her way out of the room and into the hall way, which Jotaro begrudgingly follows her.

Manhattan Transfer disappears into a nearby air duct as Jolyne and Jotaro sneak through the halls. Carefully examining the hall, Jolyne discovers that there is a secret passage way behind the fire hose. She enters it while Jotaro continues making his way through the halls. Johngalli A. decides to kill the child first. A guard spots Jotaro, but Jotaro escapes him with Star Platinum. Meanwhile, Jolyne is making her way through the tunnel until she reaches a vertical shaft with pipes that she can use to hang from. Looking into the machine room, she witnesses the boy escaping into a sewage pipe. For a time, she thinks the boy might be safe, but suddenly to nuts linking two parts of the the pipe burst. Manhattan transfer is redirecting the bullets through an extractor fan. Jolyne quickly weaves a net and throws it over the Stand. This reveals Jolyne's location, however, Jolyne manages to escape the bullet of Johngalli by bursting a gas pipe which throws off the air currents. After escaping the bullet, Jolyne proceeds to smash the trapped Stand.

Jolyne then attempts to get to the boy to ask him why he is in prison, but the bone he had given her earlier catches a pipe which gets her hurt. She asks what the boy is doing with a human bone, and he merely tells her to hold onto it. Suddenly, Jolyne finds her father, but that's not all she finds. She sees Johngalli A. sneaking up on them from a distance. She informs Jotaro, but he doesn't believe her at first, but then decides to trust his daughter's judgement. Jotaro knocks two pipes together and creates a spark, igniting the gas Jolyne had let out earlier. The ensuing fire burns Johngalli A. and he hits the ground defeated. Jolyne then turns to ask the boy, but he's gone. She asks Jotaro, but Jotaro doesn't know who she's talking about. He doesn't seem to know about the child or his secret passage ways, despite the fact that he had to come down one of the secret passage ways to get where he was. At first, she believes that Jotaro is merely messing with her, but then she notices that Johngalli A.'s body is that of a guard. Remembering what the boy said about a fate worse than death, she begins to notice everything covered in a go. And suddenly she wakes up back in the visitor's room in front of her father, both of them covered in goo. She realizes that they had been put to sleep and were slowly being dissolved by acid.

Jolyne looks around and realizes that the moment that the illusion started was around the moment that Jotaro showed her the picture of Johngalli A. She tries to reach out to touch her father with a thread, but it dissolves as well. Seeing everyone around her being dissolved by acid, she suddenly bursts out in rage, summoning Stone Free...
