  • Okay, so we already know how King Crimson works now with the anime adaptation. It creates a 10 second pocket of time which nobody will remember and he can internet with anything not fated to do anything within this. He can’t attack people but he can interact with himself in the time erasure. SO HOW DID HE CUT OFF TRISH’S HAND AND THROW NARANCIA ON THE SPIKES?

I have a theory so let me know how you think of it.

So Diavolo can’t internact with things fated to do something like for instance, people moving in his predictions. We do know that he can move objects around like when he cleaned up his room and fled out of the window. Those objects weren’t fated to move so he could interact with them? So, with that being said, does this also apply to people? If he predicted that Trish would be standing next to Bruno without moving or saying anything, could he interact with her because she wasn’t fated to do anything? Let me know what you think :)

    • Yeah, we(JoJo fans) already gave up on King Crimson's "Time Erase/Skip" abilit for quite a long time(Part 5 was written in 2001 I belive?). I mean it's Araki we talking about. Sometimes he just need to rewrite or add Stands abilities out of nowhere or during there fights just to make those "bizarre" or interesting. And sometime they just breaking the own rules and do whatever they want!

Like recently in the Episode 28 turns out Moody Blues can leave images of what he saw/was portraing in his "rewind" ability on the surface areas! Like rocks!

Here some other examples(Part 7 Spoilers): Remember back in Diamond is Uncrash when we were talled that Josuke's main Stand ability was to "heal" others but himself? Well, a couple of episodes later his "heal" ability can literally heal anything! It can recreate walls, reterning "broken" objects to it's place, reserecting dead people. Heack, maybe it can even fix a time paradoxes if Araki wanted it!

Also, remember when Jotarso said that "There is no Stand that can bring dead people back to life", or something like that? Despite the fact that Jotaro LITERALLY DID JUST THAT at the end of Part 3 reviving Joseph via Dio's vampire blood(Didn't Joseph supposed to turn into a zombie of something? Like how Dio's minions in Part 1 did?). And Josuke LITERALLY DID IT with Okuyasu when he was killed by Red Hot Chili Pepper?

Another example coming from a future Part 7 Steel Ball Run(aka S.B.R), coming from beloved by every western JoJo fan - The 23rd President of 'Merica "Funny Valentine". Having not so funny Stand "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap"(aka D4C) which power was revealed in his introduction arc with the same name and I quote: "Allowing neighboring words to exist simultaneously in the same location." That's what D4C abillity is...

...Except no. That's not what D4C abillity at all! Later now D4C arc Part 3 I believe it was? We find out that D4C TRUE abillity is to allow Valentine to jump through other dimensions(that all surprising closely represent S.B.R dimension) by placing himesl between the two matters, and have plenty of other Valentine clones to replace him if he will die by givem them his D4C? Did Stand can do that? Or is it just D4C personally can do it? I forgot sorry about it...

So yeah, King Crimson is one of those things where Author is breaking the rules of the world just so the story can continue it's narrative.

P.S- Although to be fair, The Boss NEVER SAID that he can't interact with people during his time erase, he was just afraid to be busted. I guess Araki realize that it's TOO broken during the run of Golden Wind and if he was able to hurt people during his time erase. There is NO WAY Bruno's gang would be able to beat The Boss. So Araki just didn't allowe Boss to kill people durin the time erase, I guess.

    • I think King Crimson can interact with things only of he's fated to. Like if Epitpah shows him climbing up the elevator and cutting off Trish's hand he can still do that even if he activates King Crimson, he just doesn't have to. The only use for King Crimson in this scenario would be to erase the memories of people nearby, to confuse them. But if he chooss to defy Epitaph's prediction then he can't interact with anything.

Yeah, that’s exactly what I said. He can’t interact with things that are fated to do something. But idk at this point...araki still hasn’t confirmed anything so I guess there’s nothing we can do

    • This interpretation also makes sense.

        Loading editor
    • I think the problem is that we take time skip and time erasure as one ability, when they are two abilities that don't have to be activated together.

        Loading editor
    • Time erasure results in time skip.

        Loading editor
    • Time erasure makes it so everything goes as he predicts and no one remembers it. Time skip makes it so the prediction doesn't affect him

        Loading editor
    • Diavolo repositioning himself is what makes him avoid situations in which he is hurt.

        Loading editor
    • Very end of the Metallica fight, bullets hitting the boss are skipped, not doged

        Loading editor
    • If by the end of the prediction Aerosmith's bullets would have hit him,Diavolo would have had to move out of the way.

        Loading editor
    • Both in the manga and anime bullets are visibly passing though him. He would have been hit if he didn't skip the time of bullets hiting him.

    • Thought I knew how King Crimson finally worked, but then I looked back and remembered he pulled Trish out of the elevator during erased time...

        Loading editor
    • Hey i got a question. Do you think King Crimson can throw rocks at people to hurt them because he can splatter blood on people during erased time or would it not work unless it was fated to happen even though he can't interact with his fated predictions during erased time, LIKE NANI THE FRICK?

        Loading editor
    • He could throw a rock at a person during time erasure but it wouldn't affected them at all, just like any of King Crimson's punches or chops.

        Loading editor
    • I think if he sees himself throwing a rock at someone and hurting them, he’d be able to do it in erased time. He could also throw a rock, erase time until it’s about to hit them, then resume time and they wouldn’t see it coming

        Loading editor
    • Do you still not understand how it works?

Moody Blues just turned into Doppio and smashed his head on the ground

    • How It Works
This image makes the most sense to me. (please view it, please)

Essentially the "he can perform actions that he would've been able to perform anyway" that others have mentioned above. Epitaph's predictions are absolute, with the exception of Diavolo, who can escape his own fate. If his future includes him throwing a rock, that rock will be thrown - but Diavolo can erase time, so he can just walk away and never touch the rock.

        Loading editor
    • Then that would explain cutting off trish’s hand. Since Diavolo foresaw himself severing her hand and taking her down the elevator, he was able to just skip time and do it.

        Loading editor
    • still makes no sense  at all

        Loading editor
    • He just disappears by 10 second, it reminds me Vanilla Ice in some way. But he can mix things from both worlds. Since he's a double soul perhaps he isn't conscious about what's happening while he's "out", but can throw a line to his counterpart before leaving.

    • ...Doppio.

        Loading editor
    • We know who Doppio is

        Loading editor
    • Maybe he just used his power so Bucciarati didn't notice him / didn't remember noticing him

        Loading editor
    • That’s not how KC works

        Loading editor
    • By that I mean that maybe he erased the moment of Buccarati seeing him, just like he erased the moment of bullets hitting him

        Loading editor
    • He still shouldn’t have been able to interact with Trish let alone chop her arm off

        Loading editor
    • You just have to chalk it up to King Crimson's power being potrayed inconsistentaly.

        Loading editor
    • King Crimson is just another instance of main antagonist Stands having inconsistent abilities in their first appearance. Don't think about it too hard cause it doesn't make sense.

        Loading editor
    • I know. King Crimson is bullshit

        Loading editor
    • A lot of main antagonist Stands have this problem. Whitesnake seems to just make up new abilities whenever it wants to, and D4C's first portrayal is not at all how its ability works later. Araki just gets over-excited I guess.

    • What's not hard to get?

Diavolo was going to cut Trish's hand off and kidnap her.

Diavolo was hiding in top of the elevator or something.

He used King Crimson, erasing these following parts and escaped in 10 seconds time:

      1) He jumped in the elevator and cut Trish's hand off.

      2) Left the Elevator with Trish and knocked her out.

      Ez.

        Loading editor
    • DarkRank1 But how did Diavolo made a hole in the elevator during erasing time?

        Loading editor
    • Svolzhanin7 EDIT: after seeing the anime, I see what happened. King Crimson is powerful enough to just straight-up punch a hole in the ceiling. His Power is ranked A for a reason. I don't think that hole was there in the manga.

He cut off Trish’ arms as a surprise when he (Bucoarati) wasn’t looking. Simple as that. Don’t overanalyze it.

    • People seem to forget that him being unaffected by erased time also means that anything he would’ve done in it never happens

He could throw narancia into the broken bars during ereased time since he wasn't directly harming him

He probably cut off trish's hand in normal time then skipped his get away

beacuse attacking and interacting are different

    • Please, please try to tell me how he would logically be able to touch stuff but not attack stuff

        Loading editor
    • My theories are either A) he's acting like his All Star Battle moveset where he "skips" time when dashing and isn't using his full ten seconds and is acting in very fast intervals between them before the full cooldown happens, thus tossing narancia after a maybe .2 second skip, then skipping again for the kill, or B) Chariot Requiem's boost allowed him the temporary ability to interact with things in erased time to a much larger extent. Personally I like to think more of A because KC has both A in speed and destructive power making it very reasonable he could've killed narancia by strategic use of burst time skipping. Also as for the blood splatter, I imagine it to be similar to time skip akin to how Dio's knives don't connect until time resumes, the person doesn't actually get splashed until time resumes.

        Loading editor
    • Or maybe he can interact with things that aren’t predestined to move. Trish was standing still when she was holding Bruno’s hand and so was Narancia when he was scouting

Then how is he using his fixing powers to propel his blood to Kira? Josuke said something about that blood not being a part of him anymore, so that blood seeks other drops of blood. But that's not how repairing people with CD used to work.

He's using his own blood. He's having the blood on the glass shard return to the blood he shot at Kira earlier when he split the air bomb. Crazy Diamond could always control what point it's fixing towards, and he can't heal himself, so it returns to other drops of Josuke's blood that are on Kira's jacket.
