  • i was watching xforts or meti, and he brought up that sand/soundman was underneath a door, and it seems that funny was the only one who knew it was coming. plus, when he was registering, he got sand in the guy's eye without doing anything as well, but it looks like he switched over to sound during his arc.

    • I don't understand the question. Are you asking about whether or not Sandman was going to be the villian but got replaced by Funny Valentine? That's a no, simply because Funny had already been introduced in the story and there's a good chance that was because Araki had already made up his mind that he was going to be the villian.

    • i mean, was sandman swapped out for a differrent sandman by funny valentine, because of the inconsistencies with his abilities

He is asking if Valentine went for another universe and got an alternative Sandman to replace the original in the main universe. Meti explains it a little better in this video starting from 7:02

    • Yes he does. It would explain the random name change and the sandman under the door. Also, Sandman seemed very friendly towards Johnny and Gyro before this

    • I definitely think so, it just seems to convinient. However you could make the argument that this was still when D4C's power was different, and not fixed by Araki later on.
