Valentine's Subordinates

Valentine's Subordinates (ヴァレンタイン の 部下, Varentain no Buka)^{[1][TL Note 1]} mainly consist of Stand Users following the orders of President Funny Valentine and are the primary antagonistic force of Steel Ball Run. Most are sent impede or confront Johnny Joestar and Gyro Zeppeli during the Steel Ball Run race in an attempt to take their Corpse Parts, though some are assigned to act as bodyguards for the President instead.

Description

In his search for the Saint's Corpse, President Funny Valentine utilises many of his current goverment employees, including hiring an assorted array of mercenaries and assassins, to watch the Steel Ball Run and retrieve the Saint's Corpse Parts from any participant who'd have the luck and valor to acquire one of them.

They primarily watch the race from afar and bid their time until their targets, typically Johnny Joestar and Gyro Zeppeli who made it a point to actively hunt down the Corpse Parts, are in a vulnerable position. Although their first goal is to seize the Corpse Parts from the racers, they can perform other tasks that will contribute to Valentine gathering every Corpse Part such as informing him of other locations. As mentioned, most of Valentine's agents are just trained assassins like the Pork Pie Hat Kid or Magent Magent, however a handful of them are responsible for his personal protection such as Mike O. and Blackmore. Valentine's agents seldom work as a group and seem to only directly follow the President's orders, only occasionally cooperating.

Despite working for Valentine, they each have a wide range of motivations, from loyalty to Valentine to monetary gain. Though some members such as Ringo Roadagain and Wekapipo have clear goals besides just blind loyalty or money, the majority of memeber's end goals aren't explored much.
